Meghan Rag Doll Face Mold and Course

$29.99

Meghan Rag Doll Face Mold:

This is my newest push or pour mold.  It creates an adorable Rag Doll in two sizes:

The Baby Body makes a young baby that is 22 inches tall.

The Toddler Body makes a slightly older baby, the “toddler”, who is 27 inches tall.

They both use the same face, which is 5 inches tall and 4 inches side.

Polymer Clay, Flumo Air Dry Casting Slip, or even Porcelain Slip:

The mold can be used with either polymer clay or Flumo Air Dry Casting Slip.  The online course comes with instructions and video snippets that show you exactly how to make the mask face using either polymer clay or Flumo.  You can, if you are a porcelain doll maker, use the mold with porcelain slip.  You might want to scale the doll body down just a tiny bit to accommodate the extra shrinkage that porcelain goes through.

From Tshirt to Adorable Rag Doll?

Yes, the dolls begin with cotton tshirts:  One tshirt for the baby doll and maybe 1.5 tshirts for the toddler doll body.  You will also need 3/4 yard of woven fabric to make the lining fabric for the doll body.

The online course teaches you the following:

How to Dye the Tshirts
How to Make the Face Masks in Polymer Clay and Flumo
How to patch any imperfections
How to reinforce the mold with resin
How to make the doll body
How to make the hands and fingers poseable
How to paint the face
How to make eyebrow stencils from post it notes
How to make the hair wefts from chunky yarn
How to make the baby doll dress

The baby doll body fits into “infant size” shoes that you can purchase at any children's department.
The toddler doll body fits into “tiny” children's shoes that you can purchase at any children's department.
